fallen leaves abound
crunching on the hidden path
as i ride along
this damp cool morning i found, under the withered leaves pumpkins blushing
this haiku comes from my wonderful sister-in law, who I hope has a few blushing pumpkins for us.
I put it in the traditional one line japanese format
it is a wonder
your glass is half full when it
may be half empty

hold off the cool autumn days
high of eighty six ninety one
Eighty six was the projected temperature, but it ended up as ninety one! Lucky it has the same number of syllables.
